I thought Romsey was near Southampton?

So, to re-cap; what we're saying is that one is likely to need to join a club in order to apply for Sect 1 shotguns?

There is a UKPSA Course ooop North in October - I think there still may be a couple of places left

It's held at a range near Longtown/Brampton (C.S.A.C.)

Romsey Shooting Club has two shooting locations. One near Basingstoke, and the other is on a farm near Romsey.

You don't *have* to, but it makes it easier to shoot, and also gives more gravitas for your variation. If you're not able to regularly shoot your S1 shotty, your FEO will wonder what your 'need' is for a S1 shotgun.

So 'good reason' is not 'NRA member'. Got it.

It comes back to what you want to shoot and where! If you want to shoot competitions, then being a member of an affiliated club is fine. If you want to shoot informally, I.e just practice sessions then you'll need to join a club which shoots PSG on their own ranges/ranges they have access to

How likely is it for those NRA target shotgun intro courses in December to fill up any time soon?

Fairly likely, the last few were full

(Disclaimer: I usually help run the target shotgun courses)

Can someone also clarify the posts above? From them, I'm assuming that my application can be:

Sect 1 shotgun(s) please.
I'm a member of an NRA-affiliated Rifle Club
Go!
I am not a member of a psg club. I just said i intended to use it for target shooting. If they ask send them link to slug events at gallery rifle / phoenix etc
