I also have huge respect for the modern Enduro racer, TBEC is a very competitive club and has some very quick riders however the important thing to remember is it is an Endurance race, so you need to be consistent. Most impressive thing I have seen was one of the races my son did this year. He finished three laps of around 5.5 miles on the same time to the second. Also you do need to be able to perform some math along the way to calculate when to stop.

To explain:

The race is worth 300 points to the leader divided by the number of laps he/she completes over a 4 hour period. So if he completes 20 laps each lap is worth 15 points for everyone else, however you are docked 3 points for every minute you are late so going for the last lap might take you 6 minutes over so you loose 6x3=18 points or the equivalent of the lap you just did plus more.

The thing is, if you are racing for the championship every lap means points and points means prizes.

See you at Ironstone or Weedon maybe?

It was, the guy I bought it off spent a fortune on an Ohlins rear shock and revalved Marzocchi USD forks and a host of tuning bits including a dirty great bit Mikuni flatslide. It had twin Redline cans that would set car alarms off at a blip of the throttle......only problem was you couldn't keep the front end down and it demanded that you rode it like a knob (it was a pig to ride at a sensible speed and got better the faster and harder it was ridden), especially when sports-bike baiting on twisted backroads, and for the sake of my licence, health and sanity we parted company.
