If you have a Parker Hale repro musket thing based on an old Enfield is it a "pretendy" musket???

I too would like to see an AR forum.

Seeing as it is easily the fastest growing section of our shooting community.

Csr shooter is a site dedicated to that one Comp - and although dominated by ARs its is not what the the Op is looking for.

I too agree that the use of the word "pretendy" is unhelpful. Indeed, if it were used by a non mod, I would go so far as to say it is trolling - making a post one knows will cause controvosy. Even after the term was challenged it is still being used - I am not sure what Dromia gets out of using the term when it is not needed and not welcomed by so many.

I've stopped posting on any AR related threads due to the silliness, oh wait, Doh!

Surely a 'Modern Sporting Rifle' sub-section under the 'Everything Shooting' section isn't exactly controversial? wtf

I must admit I was somewhat puzzled by the comment made on the thread yesterday where someone asked for AR recommendations, a couple of people offered them, (without making derogatory comments about other makers) and it was jumped all over?? 5mith

Look there's already a UK AR15 forum out there which could do with a little support after the CSR shooters left to set up their own site.

http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_8/5_United-Kingdom.html

It doesn't cost to register and the moderator is an American AR15 shooter who understands we can't have s/a rifle so none of that pretendy nonsense there.

I don't understand how we have a "Military & Historic Rifles" section which is dedicated to pre-1945 actions yet there isn't a modern day equivalent? Everything is just bundled in with "Fullbore Rifles"?

I don't think that a dedicated AR-15 fora is the answer, but perhaps modern straight pull / manual action would be a good start? This would include AK's, Dragunov, AR's, M1 Carbines (no bias from myself at all on this one :) ), Steyr AUG's and so on. Could there be an opportunity for non-biased administrator/moderator for this (i.e. someone who is not opposed to such firearms)?

There is no bias on this forum from the admins, if that is what people think then I suggest that they read the threads again, it has been explained why the word in question was used, if people do not agree with that explanation then I am not sure we can ever see the same side of the coin.

Don't judge the book on the cover.

We do have two sub forums that are under utilised - FB-UK Cast Boolit Summer League and as much as it pains me, S-Class. If Christel was looking at a re org to introduce new sub forums then these could be a starting point...

A certain person uses a certain word knowing full well he'll get a rise out of it......
