if there's a reluctance to include AR straight pull rifles it's because of the associated baggage, not because the forums not helpful towards shooters.

I am not a fan boy, but as a rifleman I have been watching the forums for a while and know what causes controversy.
I believe the membership would like a straight-pull forum for all such rifles not just AR types. It could cover AK variants, Vz-58, AR variants, L1A1/FAL/Imbel, Steyr AUG, M1 Garand, M1 carbine, SKS, Dragunov/Tigr, M-14/ Mini-14 etc etc so a pretty mixed bag

To be honest out of all the rifles I mentioned the AR types hold the least amount of interest but I can still appreciate them even if they aren't my cup of tea.
You missed the Schmidt Rubin series off your list, and the Ross.
I didn't include the Schmidt and the Ross as they aren't straight-pull versions of a semi/full auto design and as such are covered in the pre-'45 actioned military and historic section :-)

Whoever "runs" this please consider changing the platform to PhpBB (its free) as you will have no end of problems with Pro boards who are out to please advertisers ONLY and using your hard work to make money. They will keep your content in check, overule mods/admin, in fact everyone as they host and control your forum if they have to. Oh I miss Pro boards NOT!

Indeed but when Proboards steps in and tells you what you can and cant do on your "own" forum it grates a bit lol
I speak from personal experience and take delight in rubbishing them whenever I can get a stage. :D

light and no frills - probably not typical of the tacticool ARs used by many who don't compete in CSR.

I was referring to the RIFLES.

Webbing ? Very little. 99% of the courses of fire require 10 or 12 rounds. In fact taking more than the prescribed number to the point is not allowed. Over the course of a season, there are a couple of matches where 3 mag reloads are required. Some carry in a pouch and some in a pocket. Some do neither as the safety supervisor is allowed to carry them.

Bipods - none allowed in service class - the one with most ARs.

Morale patches ? I think you are wandering slightly from my point !
