The Lewis Machine Tool Designated Marksman's Rifle - the Kiwi version, not the UK version (see this link
http://kitup.military.com/2011/10/new-z ... rifle.html). The rifle is similar configuration to the British L129A1. The differences are the 20 inch barrel, the use of a Leopold 4.5-14X scope instead of a fixed power Trijicon scope, a foldable foregrip and backup iron sights mounted at a 45 angle.

An original Dragunov with the full length barrel, long flash hider with bayonet lug intact and fixed wood stock. It would also have the original serial number matched PSO-1 scope and be semi-auto as Mr Dragunov intended

I've always fancied a Gentlemen's AR10.
Wooden stock with brass butt plate
Long Uberti brass scope
And a cast charger handle in the form of a lion's head, or something, brass.
We'll make it charger loading somehow.
If I have to have a straight-pull, it'll have some class.

Got it...a Dolphin .308 F/TR rig...be even more of a dream when it gets its March fitted in the next month or two.
Failing that, if I had slots and a choice....
AN Accuracy international (Ideally an L96 but I would settel for an AE/AW).
One of Dave tube beasts.
An L42....with the correct scope.
But as neither is much good for Competitive F/TR....I have my dream rifle.
Pity I am usually in a dream when shooting it zzzzom

Agreed, I got one 16 months ago and I'm very pleased with it too. I put a Hensoldt on top and recently changed the muzzle break to a Ase Utra Borelock.
Perfect.

Very funny, but come on Adam, one must tickle your fancy, surely you must like at least one rifle manufactured since 1945 ? ?
Mine would have to be an L42 with all the extras in its box, I was looking at a pristine regimentally marked example the other week, unfortunately,
well beyond my pay grade, but its always nice to dream!

A Steyr SSG 69P fitted with a Kahles scope with drums calibrated for the 168grain bullet that shoots really tight groups with two ten round magazines and two five round magazines.
Oh hang on a minute did I not I buy one of them years ago. Yes I do believe I did its in my cabinet waiting for a range day. Its the only .308 I have ever hankered after and I have never been disappointed by it. clapclap

For me the Armalite or Bushmaster AR-10 which I will be buying later in the year. Just haven't made up my mind which one to get yet.
