as far as I am aware there has been no instance of crime involving either of the classes of firearm, paranoia is not a sound basis for law!
the current laws work to control what is allowed, these laws have proven adequate, the situation has not changed in anyway that these proposals will materially effect, illegally imported weapons of far greater destructive potential are apparently available on the black market, solve that problem ! don't waste time and money on non problems

"Lever release" rifles are not explicitly included in the scope of this consultation. The MARS action vz.58 appears to be the focus.

Action rifle " well so is a straight pull !! This could evently lead
To every thing that is not a turn bolt action being banned !

Completed the survey. Pretty much said that existing laws are working just fine.

I noticed they asked a question about their new flick knife definition. But I have not heard what this new definition will be ??

A straight-pull is a bolt action joe. Although yes, I agree that sadly this is almost certainly not the last proposal of restrictions we'll have to argue against.

In respect of the flick knife question I stated a new definition was unnecessary the reason being I think the prohibition of Flick knives is an outmoded dated concept that should be dropped. The reason being there are plenty of other small knives available and the ban on Flick knives only serves to hinder collectors going about their legal business.
