Thanks but I have already downloaded that - but that's the new range, not the AW/AE range.

[quote="Geek"]ovenpaa - what are the going rates for an AI (AW and AE)? - how much would an individual need to spend - I would like a second hand AW in .308. I prefer the look of the AW to the AT

A second hand AE rifle only will be anything up to GBP2200 rifle only and the AW anything up to GBP3300, again rifle only. Sporting Services may even have a new AE left in stock although it is doubtful.

After doing some more research based on your advise guys it would appear that the mrad is not worth the money in dollars let alone pounds!

AI it is then :flag13:

However since doing further research and looking at the aics chassis pricelists I have noticed they are doing an AT chassis for the tikka t3 and savage actions

Not the ax yet though

I think an ax t3 would be lovely and spot on for my needs

According to sporting services, they are no longer planning on a chassis for the tikka or savage.

It's in the retail accessories price list

Bdiac,

When did they tell you that?

This appeared last weekish on Sporting Services website

It definately shows Tikka and Savage

Interesting, so do they/don't they?

Very interesting indeed.

A Tikka T3 in an AT chassis or maybe even eventually an AX would be very nice.

Please don't look only at the AICS chassis if you're going to go down the Tikka T3 route, there are quite a few other equally good (possibly better) chassis systems to choose from:
  • MDT Tac21 (uses MDT's own stock, or anything for AR15/AR10)
  • MDT LSS (as above)
  • XLR Industries
  • KRG X-Ray
  • KRG Whiskey-3 (fixed or folding)
  • Third Eye Tactical EVO
And there are others - please give the others a good look, don't be blinded by the AI logo or the iconic shape. Another stock (not chassis) worthy of a look is the GRS range.
