Its need to be used as part of a stainless cleaning method, it stops a lot of the water marks forming on the cases and helps withthe water quality for the pc neutral detergent to work in.

So its just as it says on the bottle (nothing secret) - a hard water additive to dishwashers that cleans the watermarks from glass, etc?
So why this one, why not just pick another from any grocery store, like Finish ?

Hi Spud
dont know if this is of any interest to you, but you can get a compound called barrel bright which is specialy made for use with stainless media made for jewellery ploishing. I use it with a squirt of fairy, works a treat inside & out. Might be worth a try see what you think.

Also have a look at this,

The Soap for Barrelling Ref: 94-087 - 1/2 a teaspoon is recommended, it has a rust preventer, softens hard water and doesn't leave any scummy residue that you sometimes get with Barrelbrite if you have hard water.

I ran 2 cleans in mine today, 100x .44mag with Lemishine and 100 x 9mm using 1tsp of citric acid granules, couldn't see any difference at all.
