Seriously though, they are are both great guys and very decent shots as well so you can learn a great deal from them :good:
yea right!!!

A pleasure Barry but you wont learn much from me I am afraid!!

I will have "He came third" put on my tombestone....out of between 4 to 8 that's pretty naff!!

Comp was good fun, Matt resorted to psychological warfare by telling me a joke just before message 1....I am still chuckling zzzzom

I still need to appreciate that a change in direction of the wind can be as damaging (if not more damaging) than a drop in some sectors...and that the same (if you cannot see it) from the right can have you convinced that the bloody wind is now coming from the left...even if dust, Wombats, flies, flags, small children etc are all being blown right to left.

I will learn one day, then "watch it" Anslem Simmonds and Stewart (sounds like a bloody undertakers!!) :run:

Matty boy...the wife had chucked the eye bath, but the offending object finally popped out this morning (6mm piece of grass, it was getting blown about a lot by the muzzle blast). Just ordered a new bag as suggested ;)

Seeyawwwl Friday bangbang

Matt shot well and looks like he won the 1000yd match and long range aggregate, so well done!

Conditions were pretty tricky on both days, so don't get too frustrated if you think your scores should have been better...

Don't forget the Surrey Open is on 14/15th September and there's no late entry penalty despite what it says on the entry form, so see if you can all make it to that one. Let's face it, we could all do with the practice before the Europeans!

Well done to all that competed, it sounds like a brilliant day out. I spoke to Matt this morning and he seemed quite pleased with his shooting, good to hear the new barrel is working for him, Maggot is obviously avoiding me right now which has been duly noted

The wind was fun all weekend, but especially so at 1000. It was that sort of 'read-it, call-it, stick-it-on-the-gun' kind of wind. Forget whatever happened before, forget fall of shot; have the courage of your convictions and use a little bit of the force. From memory I needed from 2-1/2 to 9-1/2, and the changes were not gradual.
