The magazine ban didn't pass and is dead for another year. The semi auto rifle ban did pass. After a certain date no more can be sold. The law specifies that all semi auto rifles with detachable magazines purchased in 2000 or later must be registered. What about those purchased before 2000? apparently those don't have to be registered! The law is full of contradictions and flaws and is probably not able to be enforced and hopefully will be vetoed by the Governor when this is pointed out to him.
