Here are my two, both from Ryton. The M91/30 is a Tula 1939 was picked out by me from the crate then sent for proof. The M44 is 1945 and was cherry picked from the stock by Ryton and live proofed to save it from deact as it was among the best of the bunch. Both shoot really well with milsurp although the long rifle has a bit of a frosty bore, and make for good fun cheap shooting. The M44 draws a crowd wherever it goes, people trying to capture the flash on camera!

Thats like looking at mine!!!

My pair are a 1939 Izhevsk 91/30 and a 1944 Izhmash M44.The 91/30 also has a frosty bore but will still put every round in a 6" circle at 100m, the M44 is pretty much mint but not as accurate as its big sister despite the bore being very good.I would like an Imperial one if I could find a nice one.

They had a couple of the early ones at kranks last month, no price difference to the standard ones. Octagonal receivers, sawtooth back sight and no foresight cover...

It's best to ring and ask what they have left, as a rule of thumb look at the deact price and knock £20 off.

Mark, don't go shooting that Privi ammo though your Nagant, it's designed to shoot Russian mil surp otherwise you won't get the full experience ;)

I've just been checking out the markings on 7.62.net and it appears to be a 1944 Izhevsk M44.
The barrel and breach and bolt face are totally unmarked. So it appears to be unused.
The crown is standard.
The stock appears to be laminated but I've yet to remove the butt plate to check.
There are other squiggly stamped marks which I haven't verified yet.
The hand guard end caps are painted steel suggesting a refurbish.

As for the privi... its all they had... :bad:
Hopefully I'll find some sucker down the range who will swap it for some decent milsurp. smile2

Oh, I haven't shot it yet.
