I lost all interest in cars when they stopped putting starting handles on them.

That, along with Sputniks and asking bairns what they want for their tea, was the start of the slippery slope to the ruin we have today.

You'll probably be pleased to hear that Rickets are making a comeback!

Doesn't surprise me - kids don't get free milk at school any more and it's often compounded by parents following the mantra that dairy and meat products are bad. On top of that kids no longer play outside any more. Their vitamin D is seriously depleted. I expect their teeth are suffering more too - also worsened by the difficulty in accessing an NHS dentist these days. Don't get me started.

Had me a MK1 Mexico once. Weber DCD Carb and Piper cam went pretty well. Those kent engines were pretty bullet proof. (There you go, cleverly back on topic )

And finally (!!), I've never owned a Ford, but I squeezed 125bhp (at the wheels) out of a 1600 Escort engine to make a 500kg kit car go a bit faster..........
