I'd get a few ads/banners on here. For the user, on niche interest sites, you often find a supplier you've never heard of.

Since the beginning we have wanted to keep this forum free of ads and sponsors so as to be independent and seen to be independant.

We still want to have a clean and non commercial forum.

Member donations are the best way to go to share the costs, they can donate or not as the case may be, from the generosity expressed so far then there are enough people who value the forum to help cover its costs.

That in itself speaks volumes.

Have no fear that would be an anathema to us.

That is not the way we want Full-Bore UK to go,

Fair enough. I've just sold one that as grossing £8,000+ per year in ads. Just a suggestion. O:-)

I 100% agree the forum has to be kept sponsor/banner free, it is one of the very few shooting forums here in the UK that is not burdened with banners and it is the best way to be in my opinion.

Even though I use Adblock, well done to the admin for keeping the ads at bay.

Thanks,
