Re: 50 cal ban dropped?
Given the BBC are, regrettably, funded by the British public, you'd expect them to have a better grasp of the importance of factually accurate reporting. Substance over trash. How can anybody take the BBC seriously when they report the news in the style of The Sun, The Daily Mail, or The Daily Star?
They've fallen so far in standards I wouldn't be surprised if some time hence they started interrupting their news programs to advertise online bingo and such.

Well they use the news to plug the likes of Strictly. That show's on a par with Bingo in my book.

I think that's being unfair to bingo to be frank......JSC wrote:Well they use the news to plug the likes of Strictly. That show's on a par with Bingo in my book.

BBC News (and the BBC in general now) is simply not fit for purpose, and is a very pale shade of what it once was.

Listening to Radio 4s Any Questions this afternoon, the Labour MP on the panel (and ex TA apparently), complained about the Home Sec blocking the bill 'banning .50 cal ammunition that can punch straight through a tank'.A.J.P. wrote:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-46377250
Ban on military grade assault rifles dropped by MPs
A planned ban on military grade assault rifles has been dropped amid pressure from some Conservative and DUP MPs
Military grade? Assault rifles? What utterly biased, deliberately misleading nonsense.

He must have been in the TA in 1939...Brian838 wrote: Listening to Radio 4s Any Questions this afternoon, the Labour MP on the panel (and ex TA apparently), complained about the Home Sec blocking the bill 'banning .50 cal ammunition that can punch straight through a tank'.

He's every inch a Labour politician. And by that I don't mean a man of the working people, no, I mean he's a sly little wormtongue.Brian838 wrote:Thats him.Dark Skies wrote:Was it Clive Lewis?
"In 2017 Lewis admitted to biased reporting whilst working for the BBC. At a Momentum rally he stated: "I was able to use bias in my reports by giving less time to one than the other. I reported on both but the angle and words and the language I used — I know the pictures I used — I was able to project my own particular political positions on things in a very subtle way."
Subtle? He flatters himself. Sentient beings can see right through him.
