unauthorised access?? how does that work, so you cant show a mate the pile of bits on the table?
sounds like a total farce to me.
what about in your local RFD? somone looking at a rifle, or inspecting it etc, whats the difference

The main point as far as I see it is - don't allow anybody to take pictures when your firearms are present, whether they are complete or not.
Facebook, Twitter et al are the tools of the devil as far as firearms are concerned.

so you can take a mate shooting and supervise him using your firearms but not holding it in bits in your home , and as for picture , they need to round up everyone that has ever taking a pic or stuck a video on you tube of them shooting or hunting or doing a review on a gun ....cause we would hate to promote the sport or anything

Only a complete martinet, drunk with his own power, would even consider actions of this sort as any kind of 'infraction'. Is that what the UK has come to??? Sad. Really, really sad. Glad my forbearers left the place!Gaz wrote: Man had his certificates revoked and narrowly avoided a police prosecution - all because he took a picture of his neighbour sitting next to his dismantled rifle in his kitchen.

If somebody is looking at the hunting-shooting-rifle etc section of you tube, then they can expect to see guns, but you tube isn't twitter or facebook.Jackmanuk wrote:so you can take a mate shooting and supervise him using your firearms but not holding it in bits in your home , and as for picture , they need to round up everyone that has ever taking a pic or stuck a video on you tube of them shooting or hunting or doing a review on a gun ....cause we would hate to promote the sport or anything
This country is full of people who have been conditioned to believe that guns are bad, so I would have thought that the last place to show pictures of them would be on a social media site. Perhaps it's just me.

Jackmanuk,
I haven't read all this thread in detail but if I've summarised it correctly it would seem that at some point(s) you have posted pictures of your safe & contents, some details of where you live (or an approximation) & your forum signature gives a detailed list of firearms & shotguns you own.
Each "transgression" on it's own may be trivial & even though if you put them all together you are "not breaking any laws" I put it to you that it probably wasn't a good idea!
