If I had one of these rifles, I would not be happy, no matter how much money they are offering.

Peter.

Durham is open for legally held firearms to be handed in for compensation.

Thats news to me! :o lol

If no receipts are required for the accessories, as seems to be indicated on the forms if you're will to accept the standard amounts, i'm into 4 figures already and thats for genuine stuff just in the man-cave. Still need to get into the loft....

I swear that pre-pandemic every time I went to the range and mentioned the ban most people never knew it happened.
Well, that's odd... don't your club members talk to each other?

I'm in 4 different clubs and all of the MARs / LR owners are well aware that they have been banned. I even posted up details on the notice boards.

Whenever I take mine to the clubs, people say it's a shame that they are being banned.

Besides, these rifles are predominantly for target shooting.... so if owners haven't been to their respective clubs (with them) in the last 18 months, then that would have been flagged up surely?

They talk-but whether they listen when discussing new laws is another question (some of the same people are surprised whenever i bring it up even if it has been discussed before)

To be fair those in the club that i know have such rifles I haven't seen in over a year so i hope they know about it.

No law that requires that. All that clubs are required to report is if the member has not turned up and shot at all in the last 12 months.
