No - but there seems to be more interest on this forum in the MARS/lever release rifles - I suspect quite a few would buy them if they weren't so expensive - so maybe someone on this forum could start a fund.

The UKPSA put out a membership wide notification linking the consultation document, how to respond to it and how to find your MP's details and urging everyone to respond earlier in the month.

The UKPSA public relations officer sits in on BSSC meetings, one of which was supposed to have happened a week ago. I've heard nothing from the PRO or BSSC so I've contacted him directly. I'll relay any information returned.

Leaving it to the week before the deadline for the consultation just goes to show how effective the BSSC is

Judging on the search engine ranking, they seem less popular than both the Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club and Brancaster Staithe Sailing Club

Does the BSSC still exist? I have checked before and the website was woefully out of date.

FCSA have a natural focus but will collaborate with anyone / any formal body that will help drive the issue from a MARS perspective.
Chris Stevens mentioned this in earlier comms but I am not aware of any takeup.

There are usually several of us on the FCSA line shooting LR's... Sometimes more so than those shooting a 50. I have pointed this out to Chris...

The Home Office team must be laughing their socks off... for you can be sure that they read both this and other forums with great interest.

Posting this everywhere I can:

Proposal to ban two classes of target shooting rifles - if this isn't you it may be you next.

A week remains to send in your views and get everyone you know to do so as well.

Remember, shooting is under threat from uninformed scared people all the time. Fight your case on someone else's ground, lest your ground is next.

It very much does exist, and it has high-level access to Government. I think it has more in common with lobbying organisations than with campaign groups, from which it would follow that it does not necessarily rely on a public face.

Off course they are, the plethora of "representation" the divided approach and vested interest organisations will be the death of us.

At the end of the day all our organisations usefulness will be judged by whether they see this threat off or not.
