Its time we all made it to London and protested about this never ending erosion of our sport and our rights.
How many people get killed per year in this country from legally sold and taxed tobacco, alcohol, sugar and presciption drug abuse? How many die per year from legally held firearms?

I rest my case ............for now!

I doubt if there's as much as a million if you combined both FAC and SGC holders together.

At a realistic guess maybe around 200,000 FAC holders and around 600,000 SGC holders
wrong, last time gun owners in the UK (not just england and wales) was 2 million sgc and fac togather
Source?

I may be out by few thousand, but it was recently released..

153,000 FAC Holders

513,000 SGC Holders

Stand as one group or it will be a whole lot less..
I don't think we are united at. I've seen a FB post from a well known UK manufacturer of .22 AR15's -

(poster) I'm wanting to put in for my full firearms cert so I can get a (blank) UK 22 AR. The prospective new laws and hysteria and mystery surrounding it really concerns me.
Reply ·
(well known AR15) UK Go ahead, it's doubtful that .22 Semi-auto is in the firing line.

Smacks of 'I'm alright jack' was my comment, which they deleted. If the government comes for my MARS, I won't be buying on of their bloody .22 or straight pull AR15's ****

I'm still coming up short for 1,000,000 let alone 2,000,000 when adding the figures from your links

Scotland
FAC: 26,101
SGC: 49,165

NI (The term ‘firearm’ is defined as a lethal barrelled weapon of any description from which any shot, bullet or other missile can be discharged.)
60,000

I make that ...
239,000 combined FAC holders in the UK and
573,000 combined SGC holders.

NI seems to just have FACs to cover both firearms and shotguns.

Combined total = 573289 (England, Wales, Scotland and NI)

Admittedly the figures are some way out of date but even allowing for a huge rise in interest in shooting sports it seems unlikely to be close to 1,000,000

The comment from the manufacturer sounds perfectly Ok to me... he was specifically asked about a .22RF AR, and he said that it was doubtful they would be affected.

He didn't express any wishes that MARS or lever release were going... he simply answered the question.

Butthurt comments get deleted all the time, maybe you should focus your anger more constructively in the future.
