Ask yourself question ... When Kapitalist US fascist dogs come kicking your door down, you reach for work of obscure Belgium engineer or for the master piece of komrad Mikhail Timofeyevich ??
That VAL silent sniper in the photo - when I win the lottery and money is no object, I shall be making the factory an offer they cannot refuse, to make me a straight pull version tongueout
well I shall have houses everywhere and shall do as I please ! oh and I want a bar of gold ?

Froggy.......the one on the guys back isn't a VS Val it is a VSS Vintorez.Easiest way to tell the two apart at a glance is the Val has a skeleton sidefolding stock rather than the fixed wooden dragunov style stock of the Vintorez
Vintorez top, Val bottom.
The guy in the bottom pic has a SVU (bullpup version of the SVD) and apparently Uncle Oleg is working with Izhmash to bring a straight pull version into the UK that will keep as many of the mil-spec features as possible. Will be at the front of the queue if he pulls it off.

Re- Tovarich,
You have 1st pick, VR3 VSS or VAL, I'll be happy with whatever's left
Good luck for your SVU !!

Godammit - now I have to spend twice as much of my lottery winnings to have the full collection.

I'll go with the VSS, I like the wood stock over the sidefolder.

I did.
So many rifles. So little time to shoot. So little spare room in cabinets.

Have considered that but I am getting near the stage where police will want more security / alarm etc
Besides, as it stands, I have a rifle for every application I currently engage in. So, any more would just be frivolous.
