Re: Looking for a F-Class rifle
There was a thread on here before about the SSG, they are great rifles but have limited modification options. The barrels are heat fitted so can't be changed readily of you want to rebarrel later or if you buy one thats past its best.

Thanks Alan
Had a read through that thread and seems very interesting rifle! So does the SSG04 second hand..!
Re: Looking for a F-Class rifle
I do like SSG04, I would have one. You would need to drop the muzzle brake of to shoot F/TR but you can easily stick it back on to annoy people the rest of the time...
Re: Looking for a F-Class rifle
Hahaha! They are dam noisy! The only problem with the Steyr SSG69 and 04 is that there's not a lot to choose from at the moment! Maybe a few will come up for sale in the next month!ovenpaa wrote:I do like SSG04, I would have one. Re: Looking for a F-Class rifle
Picked up my SSG-04 from my gun club, absolute bargain price, it was just sitting there begging me to buy it :)
Had a terrible job getting the muzzle break off, ended up having it machined off as whatever they put it on with didn't want to let it off again!. Just for info it's an M18x1 thread.

Re: Looking for a F-Class rifle
No problem, was £995 but I got it for £895 including a reasonable 1st FP scope (now on my Henry), 10 round mag, Bi-Pod and Steyr hard case.MartinS wrote:Cheers bud I'll remember that just incase.

Just added a Sinclair F-Class Bipod w/ Quick-Adjust Elevation and a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 to it which I got on my trip to the US last week, hopefully will be trying them out on Saturday :shakeshout:

Re: Looking for a F-Class rifle
Sounds like to me that you got a great deal for the money mate! Is that Sightron good at a 1000yds? I'm looking at scopes which will do 200 to 1000yds but am a little unsure what mag I should go up to.phaedra1106 wrote:No problem, was £995 but I got it for £895 including a reasonable 1st FP scope (now on my Henry), 10 round mag, Bi-Pod and Steyr hard case.MartinS wrote:Cheers bud I'll remember that just incase.
