No doubt it will become the must have scope for the fashionistas, you have to give it to the japanese, they do know how to make a good scope or scope parts if you like. I can't wait for it to become available over here, I'll be first in the queue for those so out of date and totally useless 12-42s ;)

No thanks. I'd rather have decent glass and actual after sales service.

They are good scopes for sure. I like that it is high mag with 60 MOA. Essex boy - agree on your 12-42 comment but they do only have 45 minutes of adjustment range.

Also NP2-DD ret is a must-have. Perhaps we need to email Nightforce?!

I can not help thinking that the two scopes that have been released this week have been more reactionary to technology that has been available by other manufacturers for a couple of years rather than pushing the bounds.

I see that it weighs 27.87 oz the equivalent Sightron weighs 30.10 oz, is anyone really going to spend nearly 2 grand more to save 2 ounces?

Disappointing that they went for a 30 mm tube, clearly being steered by keeping the weight down. The current fashion would be to go for a 35 or 40 mm tube and to put on a turret that would only have one revolution to cover the whole MOA.
I also read that it has no zero stop option - who are they directingthis scope at?

I agree with 20 series, those reticles do nothing for me. I do not know who the R&D guys consulted in designing this scope, or how long a go they did that consultation, but I will be surprised to see it flying off the shelves in the UK.

If anything, after comparing the Sightron to the Nightforce, they have probably done more to highlight what a good value product the Sightron is and should be awarded a Sightron Sales award!
