I picked up rifle no.4 this morning and it's one of the original Sabre Defence IMBEL full length FN FAL's, looks loverly...

I also managed to pick up 200 rounds of 7.62x51 GGG and a picatinny top cover which means I'm good to go.

There are pics of my SMLE on this site somewhere, but for the life of me I couldn't find them. When I get a chance I'll take some pics. I take it you haven't added to your stockpile since the 2 rifles you bought when you're ticket came through, but what are you chasing next?

Hi Halodin,

Just a tip for you if I may, I had a Imbel Fal with the same type of picatinny rail screw locking system you have when you tighten the 6 side screws with the bolt/carrier removed. Then feed the bolt carrier in if you feel it catching the screws may be over long and will jam the bolt carrier, they did on mine easy fix just file the threads down a tad so they clear the bolt carrier.

OK thanks, I appreciate the advice. I need some new scope mounts for it, as the rear iron sight seems to come up quite high when you close the breech, but I'll double check when it gets put back on.

Thanks for the tip! :goodjob:
