If some kind soul has a Brattonsound RD7+, would they mind measuring the door opening height for me please? I'm thinking one of these might make a good replacement for my existing safe, but wonder if my Swing with extended stock will fit in, needs 1.28m minimum.

Many thanks

Hi shugie,
The door opening is 1.25 on my RD7+ with overall outside size of 1.30 my Musgrave fits in at an angle through the door. Hope this is of help.

It is indeed, trying to get a long rifle at an angle into a packed cabinet is frustrating, so I think I'll look for something a tad taller. Thanks for the information.

Hi Shugie.
You could have a look at the MT7+ as its 1515 mm tall, the only drawback is it isn't as deep so scoped rifles have to be stacked on the slant!

I can't think of any cabinet that will take scoped rifles without them being somewhat askew...

You may be right, and I may be pursuing the unobtainable!

Depending how much space you have I looked at a 18 gun buffalo river safe, the guy put a 32" Palma rifle straight in. It's more of a bank vault than a safe though lol

The MT9+ has the same footprint as the RD7+ but is 207mm taller. It is 407 wide and 346 deep - the MT7+ is only 271 deep. At 1.515m tall it meets your needs for length and if the MT7+ was just a little short but deep enough then the MT9+ should be fine.

The MT9+ is the same as the RL7+ but without the top box and a 9 gun foam insert in place of the 7.

Brattonsound ARE accommodating and will supply any standard outer cabinet with insides to your requirement - sometimes at a cost and other times without.

I've got the MT9 plenty of height, but 5 scoped rifles is as much as it comfortably holds, without risking scratches and dings
