Morning all,
Came across this on my morning trawl across the web,
http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Rifle/SLR-L1A1 ... 59680.aspx
It's a very good price for a desirable Suffolk L1 (retaining gas plug and dial)
with a SUIT!
So much better than those new Frankenstein's monster right hand cocking monstrosities !

Yep new, apparently these odd looking "cack handed" cocking examples are made from all new components.

I thought the L1A1 SLR was post 1945.

It is mate, the first proper British "inch pattern" Fal (the L1A1) came out of ROF Enfield in 1957

I thought this was the pre '45 part of the forum.
But I suppose it is military and a great rifle to shoot, so we can forgive
