Morning all,
Been having a look around and these seem to get a very good review from most people. Does anyone on here own one and can give a honest opinion?

I think Laurie Holland did some work with one that was recorded on Target Sports and he rated it as I recall.
I have seen and shot a few myself and if I was in the market for an of the shelf F/TR rifle this would be top of the list, seems like a lot of value for the price.

We've had one for a couple of years. I just bought a 6BR barrel for it.
Accurate, 1/2moa with the F/TR barrel, and once you get used to the trigger, nice reliable rifle.
Plus user swappable barrels/bolt heads.

good luck finding one.
me and a guy at the club wanted one each 1x .223 and 1x .308
we ended up importing them from the usa as edgar-b****** couldn't even give a delivery date.

I have noticed that no one in the uk seems to have one. How much of a pain was it to import?

You could try Stuart Alsem at Osprey Rifles, he has a good relationship with Savage

I have a couple of F-12's, one in 6.5x284 and another I made up out of bits in 6mmbr. I really like them, the 6.5 is more or less standard with the Target accu-trigger and shoots well.
The 6br has a F12 action bought from NW custom guns, Shilen select match barrel (personal import direct from Shilen) a Rifle Basix Sav-2 trigger (direct from RB) a Richards Microfit stock and a Ken Farrell 20moa rail, all bought direct.
The 6.5 is sub 1moa and the 6br I'm disappointed if a 5 shot group is over 1/2 inch at 100 yds with the odd group going down into the .1's

Edgars are bloody useless and it's a right pain. The Savage is a good rifle, and will get you a long way. Might want a new barrel but the rest is good.

Whats wrong with the barrel it comes with?
Was also looking at the RPA Quadlite as another option as I use them at Bisley and they seem good to me?
