Tech sights

I bought a Tech brand rear sight for my old model Ruger Mini-14. The sight is a great upgrade for the rifle as it is very solid and easily windage adjustable. Elevation is a bit more difficult because of the spring tension on the sight which serves to keep it solid. This is an upgrade that I highly recommend. As you can see I replaced the single blade front sight with a post and wings combined with a muzzle brake unit. The sight picture is better and the unit adds some weight to the whippy barrel and helps stabilize it.

I got the same brand of sight for my Marlin 795 and made a tacticool .22 out of it. The stock pouch is a WW2 .45 magazine pouch and holds two 10 round magazines, one in each cell. The sights are great, much superior to the factory sights.

The 795 is amazingly accurate for being such a cheap little rifle. The trigger and trigger guard are plastic as is the stock and the whole thing is made as inexpensively as possible but it shoots straight and functions great. A lot of fun in a low cost package.
