Hi All

Just watching this on iPlayer, thought it might be of interest to everyone. It looks like he shoots some original gatlings

Saw it live last night on BBC2 Scotland

Quite a good programme all considered - though bugger all mention of the British use of MG's, the Vickers designs, the fact that if you captured a Maxim you got a weeks leave, etc.

It was good, I enjoyed the high speed ballistics gel they shot multiple times, It was good he actually got on a range and experienced the Spandau rather than being an armchair pundit. All in all, a well executed show

great program thanks for the heads up.

I wonder if I can hire that Gatling the next time I'm down at Bisley?! (would have to save up for ammo first!)

Thanks for posting.

First lot of machine gun ammo being fired is blank so not trusted to use real. All the same good programme.

Neil Oliver is very good and as ever anything he presents always comes over well. I did not know of the Bedford Company and I have lived in or near Bedford for most of my life. Something that is worth researching.

Many thanks for posting the link.

clapclap

Anyway, great program, excellent slowmo of flintlock showing the delayed action. Presenter appeared extremely eager to have a go.
