Lother walther barrels

Has anyone bought from lother direct? I ask as I now have a few slots for different cals for my dta and would like to buy some blanks to speed the cost. I'm told that lother barrels last far longer than other barrels due to the 420 steel and this makes them appealing to me as some of my cals are barrel burners and so I'd like to make em last as long as possible!! If you've bought direct from them what if any paper work was required?

Thanks

Danny

In theory no paperwork is required however try getting something out of Germany without an OIL...

Forget the 'European village' some countries flatly refuse to ship to us without an Import Licence (OIL) despite it not even being valid. Holland and Germany are probably the biggest culprits. One other consideration is you will need to have the blanks profiled an chambered at some point and your local gun plumber will expect to make money on a barrel sale as well as the chambering work so you may have to pay a little bit extra if you supply the blank.

Tp my knowledge, LW only sell to the trade.

Nprmally; unchambered barrels does not need paperwork...except probably for UK customs.

Are you sure Lothar Walther stainless steel barrels are made of 420 ? The last catalogue we had from them suggested something far superior was being used...

That's what I was told by a well known gunsmith but could be wrong.
