Here's the deal...
I'm planning on having my very reliable .308W CZ550 Varmint Kevlar rebarrelled in .260 Rem.
Which barrel manufacturer would you choose for a replacement? Bergara, Bartlein, Kreiger, etc, etc?
Any advice and comments welcome.

Well, Bergara are the cheapest but they don't do long or heavy profiles.
Often, it's a case of what you or the gunsmith can get hold of and how long are you prepared to wait.

Any recommendations for a heavy profile around 26 1/2 inches?

Absolutely spot on with this advice.
By all means form an opinion/preference, but it's all down to what's acceptable within your expectation of price, availability, profile, twist, cut or buttoned etc.

I have heard Krieger barrels are the best in the world, I don't know if this is true.
RFD's - What would your top 5 manufacturers of barrels look like excluding availability? I suppose I'm talking exclusively about precision.

I went with a Krieger for an AR15 build.

Domestically speaking. If you choose to import you can have what you want and it will most likely be cheaper than the UK even with duty and VAT added.

It's just about availability,I put an order in a few months ago & am happy to be supplied as and when they become available.
