AI furniture and rifle pricing

Just been looking through the pricing on the AI rifle, furniture and options.
The AICS AX is about £400 more than the AICS AT.
Fair enough.
However,
The .308 only short action AX is £2k more than the short action .308 AT.
Anybody know why?
I dont mean the long action AXMC either in .300 and .338 which you can then put a .308 barrel on (gets complicated)
Doesn't make any sense unless the rifle itself is different.
Is it?
If it is different then the chassis looks pretty modular as well from the trigger group back and forward so I wonder if you could fit the floating RAS and skeleton stock to an AT and save a bit of cash?
An ATX for say £3500
The Tikka AT chassis is now in the price list as well which is very tempting.
