I got my Dragunov stock and handguards back from getting the handguards refinished to match the colour of the stock and got round to fitting them yesterday and also put the detachable cheekrest on so the Soviet look is coming on nicely.I've got an early ribbed receiver cover on order and I'm waiting from a Soviet Afghan era sling to arrive.Heres a pic to be going on with.

Cheers guys, I've also redone the rear sight range marks in red rather than white as white marks didn't appear until 1991 and as I want it to replicate a 1980s' Dragunov it had to be done.
Breacher.....glad you like the new avatar, I had one of T-34s' parading through Red Square but it wouldn't upload

I have just checked the progress of the receiver cover from Moscow on the Ruspost track and trace page and it was accepted by Russian Customs at 14:37.........and released at 14:39!, over here I would be sat for two days before anyone even looked at it!!!!.

NO Comrade peasant
It was there for two minutes as that was as long as it took for the Customs to decide it was not vodka, so was of no use to them
In the UK it takes over two days, as that is how long it takes them to realise there is a parcel on the conveyor belt as they're too busy counting all the money that's
"fallen out onto the floor" from Aunty Mira in Florida to Irving/etc./repeat inserting random names...
OOPs - Customs - thought you said Royal Mail PLC Inc. Ltd. Pty.
