Spare Christmas Money?

#1 Post by Christel »

Just to remind you that there are some very worthwhile charities in the UK.

Help for Heroes.
British Legion.
ABF-Soldiers' Charity.

I am sure there are more, please list them here if you know of one.

Have a look on their websites, they tell about the charity work they do and all of it is very important and of course they need money...

Hope you all enjoy your Christmas break.

A lovely lady at work volunteers for Crisis at Christmas. She is a huge animal lover and this year was asked to coordinate the Crisis at Christmas Dog Service. A lot of homeless people have dogs. Whether we agree with them keeping them or not, they didn’t ask to be on the streets. Many homeless got turned away from Crisis due to having a dog, until someone came up with the idea of having kennels. This is where my friend comes in. She organised collections of blankets, beds, leads, food and set up an Amazon Wish List.

I have always had a downer on the homeless but some of the stories my friend has told me have changed my opinions.
Never say something in Cyberspace you can't say Face to Face!!
