Morning all, Looking for a new (tactical style) stock to go on my Remi 700 (just ordered the new barrel)

Got the offer of a HS Precision take off (from Sendero I believe) or Ive also looked around the Choate tactical from SYSS.

Anything else around that sort of £250 mark that has a detach mag? much as I'd love an AI Chassis, thats something for the future

That Choate Tactical looks quite a bargain, if you bought DM floorplate and had it fitted by a gunsmith to the HS style stock you'd still be over budget.

What calibre did you decide on?

Hi,
Did the same trawl around myself a couple of months ago and got a rather nice MDT LSS from Black Rifle on this forum. Couple of quid more than your quoted budget, but sweet.

If you do go the LSS route, I have the perfect stock for it.

Decided 6.5x47 mate.
The MDT is 100 over, before I start adding a stock and grip!

If the LSS is a bit over budget, how about a new Magpul Hunter stock? It'll be another 8 weeks till they're in (based on the Magpul release date), but it'll be pretty much right on budget for you and a straight drop in.

I'd be happy with a HS Precision take-off, or failing that try to find a Bell & Carlson

Should have enough left (if you get a 2nd-hand HS) to have the bottom metal fitted too

You should check out the KRG X-Ray stock, imported by March Scopes. They make stocks for Tikka T3 and also the Remington 700 small action:
http://www.kineticresearchgroup.com/ind ... ay-chassis

The chassis uses AI magazines but does not require DBM installed - the mags are held in via retention of the forearm piece which you can adjust. I have the X-ray on my 3.08 T3 and it feels and shoots great, although I did have to modify the feed lips on the AI mag slightly as they are quite long. I have one for my Rem700 on it's way to me shortly, which is also in 6.5x47 Lapua.

The overall cost is around £500 so makes it comparable to the AICS. Outside your budget, but if you take out the cost of DBM and proprietary magazines (such as HS-precision if you wanted their DBM) then the KRG X-ray is probably worth considering.

I really like the look of the magpul, but it's beginning to look like vapourware...
They e slipped the release date twice now.
I'm sure they're only doing. It to make sure it's 100%
But no ones even had a review copy yet!
