I really don't get this. Why not have a prize for foreign service rifle shooters?

I would certainly like to see say an M41B put up against a 4(T) in legitimate competition, having shot both and owned a 4(T) my money would go with the Swede.

because the people organising the match don't like Foreign rifles! its all been hashed out before in various forums, and the answer has always been the same, "if you want a competition with foreign service rifles, organise one!"

If they are in a metric calibre or use any metric measurements in the construction then they should be banned as not being in the spirit of the original!

I believe the match has only just been formulated to include the foriegn muck....

From my perspective I believe it's just an oversight, I'll come back to you on this.

Just checked and apparently that's right.
Given the low numbers of foriegn entrys first time round, and also the fact that we managed to get 62 Enfields on the FP last time this was held I can understand the decision.

thanks for that, I took part in the last one with a borrowed Enfield, its good to see that this one at least allows other rifles to take part (which I would happily have done last time, TBH I'm not worried about prizes, not the way I shoot ) unfortunately this week is already booked for the exhilarating sport of moving crap around the front room so the flooring guy can do his thing

Us Brits had metric rifles on issue 100 years ago!

I don't understand it. How can you possibly have one class with no prize list attached? If numbers for the foreigm class are low on the day then the nra formula as stated for enfield classes in the rules can be applied with no issue.

Well, who's going to enter the foreign class if you can't win anything while everyone else on the range can?

This smells a bit like a cynical move from Enfield owners who don't want to compete against anything else in case they lose.
