Perhaps at 11:00 today those of you taking a moment or two of silence in your offices to reflect on sacrifices made by men of all races in conflicts past might like to take a look at the link below. I had to read his letters twice this morning. We owe the likes of young Cyrus so much and I really hope future generations will appreciate just what our Armed Forces have done and continue to do for us, exceptional people.

Thanks badger. Had me in tears that did, I've passed it on to a few of those who I think may have forgotten.

Very poignant - Cyrus was obviously a remarkable young man.

Did mine, was a very sombre event, sat in silence. I thought alot of people who've been wounded and killed in our current tangles and think, well I didn't know what to think but I thought of them and was humbled.

Our town has 11,000 people. Of the 50 at the memorial, I was the youngest (39) by a long way. Apart from the six year olds from the school. It was good they came.

My four year old came home with a poppy picture. He said it was to remember the soldiers who keep us safe.

We had ours at the university, our catering manager played the last post and revallie. What was nice was the crowd there probably about 100 people was made up of all races, nationalities and religion's.
