I went to Bisley ytday to zero a new scope on my AIA. Thanks Ste ;)
We also had a little test drive of a friend's new toy ytday ...

The trigger release thingy feels very very weird but what fun it is. The actual trigger is great. Can't say much about the weird thing on it but I was told it will soon be fitted with a much sexier Belorussian scope. Shame they are so bl**dy expensive or I would order one straight away.

Some very friendly shooters next to us let us have a pop on their Cz "Fox Mdl" (?), one of them with a wonderful stecher trigger, both in 222. First time I tried one. What amazing little rifles they are. Fitted with a bipod and using hand reloads they make munching the V at 200 yards such a doddle for the crap shooter I am.

Have they put anything on the underside of the scope or where the casings just twanging off it?? Actually, is the rifle in the picture the trigger release? Just noticed its black and all the ones i've seen/heard of to date have been sprayed OD green

The owner made a simple but clever deflector out of kydex to protect the scope. It seems to work 100% fine. It is a trigger release MARS Mdl.

I completely understand the concept of the case defector, but for me, the biggest attraction of the MARS or even the SGC lever release, is to get a proper rifle case ejected high in the air, every time the rifle goes bang! bangbang bangbang lol

Sim - That soon wears off when you've got to pick the buggers up, especially in grass as they never eject the casings in the same place twice!! Shooting them indoors gets a bit lively too lol

I'm more jealous of the black body (oo er). Did the owner respray his or did he get it from CCA like that??

Mark, I had an HK P7 in the day and the cases would go as far back and right as the bullets went forward! A mate once tried to empty the magazine of his HK P9S before the first case hit the floor! Came close a couple of times! lol
