Anyone happen to know of the turnaround time for FAC grant in West Yorks?

I'm getting reports of 4 weeks to 3 months ???

Anyone been granted recently from West Yorks?

Perhaps we need a sticky for each Force under in a specific section of the forum so grant times and renewal times can be posted relevant to each area - might be a useful database??

Have you tried calling them? Derbyshire are always spot on accurate with me and they also allow me to send the paperwork but keep my certificate until the week my paperwork hits the top of the pile...

Wish this stuff was consistent.

No point in calling them yet as it hasnt been in long. I just wondered how long the wait was at the moment for this area.

At the Harrogate Show, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire Police were doing instant variations - so, if you had your FAC and saw a rifle you liked......

that's what I mean. Call them, you don't have to give your name and seem pushy, just ask them the current turnaround time for a variation.

Ahh, I see what you mean now

It's initial application, isn't it? asking for variation turnaround times might not mean anything as some forces prioritise workload.
