Hi folks,
Im posting on behalf of a friend. He has just been approved as a section 5 dealer and RFD. It's a completely new business, so he's been trying to get a bank account in the business' name, but to no avail. The banks appear to be running away once firearms are mentioned.
Does anyone know a friendly bank?
thanks

We have been an RFD for approaching 5 years and I have to say it is a real struggle to find a shooting friendly bank.

I have heard very good reports about Handelsbanken.
http://www.handelsbanken.co.uk
They now have over 200 branches across the country and have just been voted top bank for small business customers.

I tried however from memory they will not deal with you unless you have a certain turnover, I think it was 500.000.

It does not really work if your website is linked in with your business name. The bank will do an online search for what you do.
