Anybody got a good source for jacketed .44 bullets?
I'm using lead at the moment but would like to make some full power loads just for fun in my lever action.
I can find electro plated but have been advised I need full jacket for the fps my rifle will push out with a full load of h110 I have found hollow points but no sure in the legality.

A good lead bullet that fits the rifle and is of not too hard an alloy will shoot fine at top 44 Magnum velocities.

A nice Keith type boolit and 22grains of Alliant 2400 works well in my Marlin, very accurate ans no leading in the barrel (of course).

Ignore those wizened old, black lunged alchemists!
Try Kranks for some Sierra Tournament Master. Available in 220 or 240 grain, they were designed for Metallic Silhouette shooting. Nice bullets with a proper jacket and cannelure.

Just had a look at kranks no,listing of .44 but the seem to have a lot of stuff so I'll give them a ring.
I have some lead coming with gas checks but the places I'm buying them from said full load of h110 ( already have the powder) is probably too much for even them.
Can't remember the fps exactly il have to look in my manual but it was over 1800fps I think for a 240g in a 20 inch barrel

Oh you've done it now! They'll sense that ripple in the force and crawl from behind cauldrons coughing and spluttering, squinting through cataracts and pointing a blackened, gnarled finger...... A rasping breath in and a crackled, "1800fps?! You don't need condoms....."
You'll learn, Tenderfoot, you'll learn.....

In days of old when knights were bold and frenchies weren't invented.
They wrapped a sock around their cock and had to be contented.

They are both listed in their 2016 catalog. £26.50 per box of 100 for either.
