Recently got myself one of those lever release things, I ordered the barrel with the cap as I didn't fancy the brake that Bob has on his too shiny for me.Thought it would be a reasonably simple thing to source something,but having difficulty due to the threading a mate said tier one do one in that thread but having read the thread in gun shops not so sure now.
So has anyone else found a solution without spending silly money?
Ta.

I found someone selling their suppressor and run mine with that on. The weight on the end is a bit high but not to bad. Find the can smoothes it out and just takes the edge of the noise

What thread is it & what type of gizmo are you after?

Thread is 3/4"X16,was looking for something with more of an upward vent rather than the usual sideways brake.

Get a machine shop to make you a thread adaptor to 1/2 x 28 then you can out proper AR muzzle brakes on.

Yeah was something I had considered,but having not seen one how much bulk would one add.

Take a look at Lantac USA website, they do some 9mm specific brakes.

Not that much :good: As an example I have one of these on order (thankfully I found the exact conversion I needed without needed to get a custom job);

In my case its to allow an over-barrel sound moderator with a 1/2 UNF thread to go onto a rifle with a 1/2 x 28 thread so it wouldn't be seen at all. Obviously you'll want one in the same colour and texture as your barrel but if you can manage that I don't think it would be particularly noticeable, you could even red Loctite it on and re-paint the barrel and adaptor to cover any small gap.

AR threaded gizmos of 1/2"x28 size tend to be designed around .233/5.56 caliber projectiles.
Bit tight for .355 sized bullets.
Better option would be 5/8"x24 as that thread is used on the .30 & 9mm cal AR models.

Tier One sell an un-threaded brake - any decent smith will fit it to your thread.
