Are there any members here that shoot at Diggle? As I want to be nosey!
I will be in Uppermill visiting the in-laws at the end of the month and may need some respite on the Sunday. I have heard plenty of good things about the ranges and was hoping someone may be willing to give me a 10 minutes tour.

PM 'The Gun Pimp' on this forum - that's Vince Bottomley, PSSA's membership secretary and who living a few miles down the road is frequently found on the ranges and will almost certainly accommodate you by prior arrangement.
Weekends see a large number of competitions using both days. View the club's website
www.diggleranges.com and click on 'Calendar' for the shooting programme. If a long-range (800 yards or longer) comp is taking place on the main ('C') range, you cannot enter the site as shots pass over the road between the main entrance and the access road. The gate is therefore closed and a 'sentry' placed on it to stop access and this would apply nearly all day.

I've only shot once at Diggle but I was made to feel very welcome.

Polchraine - I should be up on Sunday. I'll be shooting the Classic Military Rifle comp. but there is also a McQueen - if you wish to shoot either you are most welcome.
Just ask for me - Vince - and I'll show you around.

Thanks Vince, and your other members there on Sunday.
A very nice location and very well set up. Easy to get to, but far enough out of public sight - my in-laws say they have know about the ranges for 50 years and occasionally walk close by but commented that probably 99% of the local population know nothing about it!
