Firearms and Ammunition Deliveries.

From the 14th November TNT will no longer deliver Firearms and Ammunition .
The few companies who will deliver ammunition tend to be very expensive , and I would make a bet that Parcelforce will put their delivery charges for fireams up as soon as they think they can get away with it .
Could be a good business opening for someone to be a licensed ammunition shipper . (If there is such a thing)

Interesting news and not something I have heard from TNT, having said that despite having an account with them we much prefer ParcelForce and there is a third alternative who ships S1 items including ammunition, primers and powder for a flat pallet rate of GBP42 inc VAT

not really too much of a problem, although I agree I wonder how long before PF hike the rates :(
PF online booking works well, postcode search, fast efficient site, easy to use
rates are pretty good, at the moment... LOL

I find PFs online booking system a real chew to use, seems counter intuitive as it takes me good half hour at least to get the collection booked and the label printed off. The TNT system was far easier, fill out the form and phone in to book the collection, five minutes at most.

odd, I find it takes seconds, postcode search or customer from contact book, select the basic options, firearms, s1/s2 tick boxes etc, book collection, print label, run end of day
job done

Entering the address is the easy part but it goes down hill rapidly after that.
I am only using it three or four times times a week, maybe if I was using it more regularly it would stick and become easier.
