Contact for CSR shooter

I've been trying to register on the CSR shooter forum as I want to have a try at this, I'm going to be getting something from Mark Bradley and plan to go to the NRA training day at the end of this month. I want to see what optics people like, but when I try and register at the forum nothing happens, I realise that they approve applications, which is sensible, but are they generally not keen on adding new forum members?

Be patient I've a feeling the site owner may be on holiday or business abroad, I'm sure he'll get round to it soon.
In the meantime there a quite a few CSR shooters on here if you need any advice.

Unsurprisingly it comes down to personal preference and budget. S&B, Leupold, Nightforce, IOR and Vortex all have their advocates and detractors. There are some ACOG and ELCAN users too.
Folks with cheaper optics often outshoot those with S&B and other high end scopes. Its not a comp where you can buy many (any) points. That said, you don't want something that will break easily either.
What were you thinking of using?

I've been happy with Sightron so far, and was considering their S-TAC range, other possibilities are Leupold Mark AR, Vortex PST, IOR if anyone has stock.

Ok have you an idea what class you'd like to shoot as that will play a big part in what scope to get?
Service Optic up to 4.5 magnification, Practical optic you can have what ever you like.
I shoot SO with a 1-8 x24, this gives me the option to shoot on a higher mag when I'm not competing.

I was thinking of service optic, as I have a Sightron 6-24 which would do for practical optic, but can't get down to 4.5

Down to budget & reticle then, if you can, come along to a shoot & have at look at what people are using, I'm sure most if not all shooters would let you check out their scopes & rifles.
