Magpul flip up sights.

I was on Ebay last night and saw Magpul flip up front and rear pairs for £12 a pair
I thought, I'm having a pair of them for that money but will just check the feedback first.
Previous buyers have said that these are for airsoft/airguns and not for firearms.
Can someone tell me the difference
I would have thought a flip up sight would not be affected by recoil etc
At 12 quid they are about 50 quid cheaper than Lantac etc
Am I not seeing the bleedin obvious here?

The obvious is that at 12 quid, they are cheap, Chinese copies. Unlikely to offer the adjustment or even come close to the quality of the original. Will look fine on an airsoft gun for display, but no good if you actually want a set of sights....

I would have thought advertised as Magpul they would actually be Magpul. Does anyone actually give a fek about copyright these days I wonder

Gazza, it would appear not. Even Amazon are getting chinned about knowingly selling fakes.
As Sim and others say etc...and if it's too good to be true it usually is. Question is, can you afford to buy what may turn out to be cheap knock off?

No Chuck, I want to buy the real thing but if I can get the real thing 50 quid cheaper I would.

I bought a set of those years ago just out of curiosity, they came in a branded Magpul box and seemed to work, the mechanism isn't the most durable I've seen, but then I've not looked at a real set of Magpul BUIS

Amazon couldn't care less, they have Chinese copies of our brakes for sale on the USA website, we own two granted patents on these brakes, both design and utility.
Amazon simply dont respond to any communications. The small amount they sell outweighs the Attourney costs of suing them to stop.
Magpul no longer license any of their products for PTS due to the amount of copying going on. Unless they started again which I dont think they did.

The Chines stuff is junk and I have seen a lot of so called dealers selling it as the real thing too.

So what is the difference between the airsoft and non airsoft sights? just quality?
