My AI has eaten its way through its slip!
Its a big lump of metal.
The strap tore out and looks to be fubar.
What shall I get to replace it?
I don't want to spend hundreds tbh.

AIM. Why spend thousands on a rifle and scope then get a crappy bag?

I paid £250 for a drag bag 12 years ago to carry a heavy tactical winmag and it's been hammered and nothing has broken or fallen off it and rifle has always been safe, looks today as it did when I brought it
Don't risk it, buy a decent slip

My wife makes my gun slips for me I have not bought one in over 30 years. They are nothing complicated but 100% waterproof and light weight.

Will it fit in a hard case or does it need to be a tacticool bag? Cheap and robust that's all

Speaking of cheap and robust.......

If its just covering the rifle between house and car / car and firing point / shooting area and you dont need the bulk and weight associated with more protective bags.........

Take a look at my "back to basics" rifle bag ?

What he said
I had a very excellent AIM drag bag but even empty it weighed about 7lb which meant I was lugging extra weight up and down Century range every time we moved firing points. Now I use a cheapo bag and open carry the rifle (with breach flag) from the car park to the firing points. Scope is protected with a scopecoat.

Tony does your AI have a folding stock?

If so the AIM F/S 42" is worth a look a look I'll bring mine if you want a gander.
