Vortex

I've been a huge Leupold fan for 30 years, I suppose. Currently have three Mk4s, a vari-x 3, two VX-2s a 2-7 Rifleman, a 2.bowl Scout, a1x prismatic, two pairs of binos and a spotting scope!
I wanted a monocular and when Leupold couldn't fill the void, I looked at Vortex. I liked it and bought it. Then I started seeing Vortex scopes on rifles in the club and was impressed. In short, I bought a middle of the range Viper. Really impressed with it.
It developed an issue. The right hand edge of the horizontal stadia of the reticle was a few degrees higher than the left. Don't know what happened to cause that, but despite not expecting a great deal from their VIP warranty, which looks too go to be true, I started the ball rolling getting my scope repaired.
No, they didn't repair it.
They sent me a brand new one. No wriggling, no exclusions, no exceptions, just stood by their product.
Unfortunately, Leupold didn't a few years ago which is why I looked elsewhere.
Christopher at Country Sports Wholesale provided a first class service.
I'll look at Vortex first from now on.
