Interesting new tactical bipod from Leapers UTG

Leapers UTG had a reputation for the cheap end of the market but of recent whilst prices are still low they are building a reputation for well thought out solid items. I own some scope rings off them and they have been solid for example.
At IWA they announced an interesting new bipod which almost begs the question why did nobody think of that before?! It is called the Stealth recon flex and rather than being a single component it consists of two separate arms that bolt to the side of a Keymod or M-lok rail. It appears to give a nice wide adjustable base whilst being able to tuck away neatly, looks perfect for the new Ruger RPR Gen2 I have coming soon which has a keymod forerail. Erm......it HAS been done before. Years ago.
Tango Down VLTOR bipod ?
No cant facility is a drawback.

Well you live and learn!
Nothing is truly new these days! Once I can get hold of the UTG version I will pop up a mini review.
I don't actually want any cant so this appeals, the tactical look and a wide base will suit the rifle imho.

The VLTOR featured in my search for the perfect bipod.
Yes - it was nice but the lack of cant was annoying.
Even at a range, you never get a 100% level firing point and it does affect POI.

No - no trick missed.
Advanced combat bipod. Been available for years.
Same legs on a centre block which mounts to bottom picatinny rail.
But you get picatinny mounting at a price - the centre of gravity is shifted a few inches lower compared to the side rail mounted version.
I have done a LOT of research on bipods over the years ....................

I was referring to the UTG version. Not having a picatinny model they must be cutting themselves out of 80-90% of customers

Yes - I guess they are banking on m-lok etc becoming more popular ?

There is a keymod and an M-lok version.
M-lok is increasingly popular and keymod is pretty common for AR15 type rails.
Both systems allow a more streamlined rail where pic-rail segments can be added as needed.
The Gen 1 Ruger RPR had integral Pic rails whilst the Gen 2 has Keymod instead.

My Mk1 RPR has KeyMod on 3 sides, the only picatinny is the top rail.
I have to say I don't like it, I fitted an Anschütz rail for my Mystic Precision M-Pod and it was a pain to get it to fasten on with the way the inside is made.
With the M-Lok the inside is flat so a simple washer and nut can be fitted.
