Having off-ticket items proofed

I am considering getting 6 devices proofed which are not FAC items (things like compensators, brakes, adapters etc).
What is the most cost effective method:
1) Pay an RFD to send these with the next batch of items he sends for proofing
2) Send them to the proof house myself
Any thoughts on this? Any idea on costs?

I'd contact the proof house first to see what their timelines are like. They have apparently had some big orders which have caused a bit of a jam. My .308 has been in the queue for over two months now!

you could send and pay for instant proof, but as pretty much everyone is now paying out for instant proof, it just joins that queue LOL, but normally couple of weeks when they busy

1) This will work.
2) This will work too.
Thoughts? - I can only repeat Why? if you need it then OK, but if they are not FAC...
Cost? - The Proof Houses publish their prices so you should be able to calculate quickly, 1) will be more expensive, 2) will be cheaper, or 3) take it yourself if you live within easy commute and bring them back later.

What do you want them proofed on?
I would assume you would need to send the rifle of suitable calibre and threading?
