Dellboy - I go every year and honestly I prefer it to the Shot Show - the layout and exhibition space is so much better - but then Nuremberg ain't Vegas.

Personally I enjoy it - as a firearms-related holiday but, like all shows, you may only see a couple of new things which really interest you.

Just a nice winter break really and an opportunity to catch up with a few friends. Now RyanAir are flying direct from Manchester, it's a very easy trip.

Providing you have proof of RFD you can pay on the day.

Went last year and it was fun, Nuremberg is lovely to visit as well.

No buying as it is a trade show but still stuff to be had. If I was doing it again I would spend two days rather than one.

Tip, if you go definitely get a rental car and rather than stay in Nuremberg book a hotel in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. It is a sleepy historic town a 30 minutes drive away conveniently on the same side of Nuremberg as the NCC OST show centre where IWA is hosted. Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz has several more affordable hotels plus some bars and restaurants making it a good base for the show. When I was there with a friend we were not the only IWA bound people in the hotel.

Yes - the hotels shamelessly double their prices but Air BNB and the superb UBahn gets round the hotels and car hire.
