Bipod quality?

I'm after a bipod and have been looking at the cheaper end of the market and the top end.
I've not seen these in the flesh so would like some opinions from people who have if possible.
Is there a vast difference in quality between say a UTG and a Harris?
I dont want to buy crap but if the difference is negligible then I may go for the cheaper option.

Our club has had a couple of cheaper ones on a Howa 1500 in .308 and they both didn't last long, although they are fine fitted to a .22lr.

Harris are the only ones we use now, cheap ones don't last long on centre fire rifles. Like above ok on rimfire.

I've used a Harris 6-9" sling swivel mount version on everything from .22lr bolt action up to a lightweight .308 bolt action rifle. No issues whatsoever. Cannot comment on the cheaper bipods.

I have a couple of Harris' and one of the cheaper one's as marketed by Deben. They are all on full bore rifles and I can discern no difference between them.
Perhaps there is a "quality end of the cheap ones"....?

What is the "quality end" price I wonder ? Theres some on Evilbay for a tenner posted!

and they look just like a Harris!
It's going on and staying on a rimfire so might be just a case of going for the quality end of cheap, once the quality end is established.

I've been using a couple of the harris clones for a few years, not the really cheap ones either.
I've never been entirely happy with them, they don't sit on the sling swivel stud properly and the cant movement isn't as smooth.
If I were doing it again I would have paid more and be running an extra harris instead.

To be fair, I used a Deben copy of a Harris bipod on my .308 and it survived, would still be on but replaced it with a Harris bipod that had longer legs that suit my needs.

i started with harris bipods years ago,
As my rifle collection grew i bought the cheaper versions.
however i am replacng them with harris versions.
To me is the extending and locking of the legs that is the problem with the cheaper versions.
when out stalking ,you do want to be turning knobs to clamp the legs into place.
